WHO WE ARE
Ken Hissong
The male half of Holbrook Partners Editorial
Services began as a newspaper copyboy
before entering the U.S. Air Force. When he
came out of service, he plunged back into the
media, this time as a broadcast journalist.
Through the years, he has worked in just
about every area of television news, but his
most solid expertise is in producing. At three
different news operations, he has produced
daily news shows, weekly news/feature
programs and documentaries, and has been
behind the scenes at national Presidential
conventions, creating award-winning
on-the-spot coverage. He possesses an eye
for organization, an ear for the pleasing -- yet
correct -- turn of phrase and, above all, a mind
for details. In 1982, he worked with a group of
volunteers, creating the International Media
Center at the first Grand Prix race to be held in
downtown Detroit; his 1982-84 model has
since become a blueprint for media facilities at
sporting events around the world. Marketing
experience also comes from training in event
merchandising around the racing circuit; he
was also on the PR staff for Ford Motorsport.
Andrea Wojack
The female member of Holbrook Partners
Editorial Services has been producing award-
winning writings since high school, when The
National Council of Teachers of English
(NCTE) chose her as one of only 100 national
award winners. In the years following, she
received a journalism/communications
degree from the University of Detroit. Since
those long-ago school days, she gained
experience in teaching; in writing for
newspaper deadlines at The Detroit News as
well as proofreading and designing pages;
and in marketing and advertising content.
These days, she looks at the popular Yukon
Gold potato piled high in grocery and
produce stores with special interest; it was
her creative marketing endeavor that helped
the gold spud climb into the national
spotlight back in the late ‘80s. She received
the Vesta Award in 1983 for excellence in
food writing; a monthly newsletter she wrote
and designed for a four-star restaurant was
noted in 2004 for its consistent excellence as
a hospitality publication – she had been its
editor for 15 years!
Andrea is often referred to as the Human
Dictionary by co-workers; she often finds
mistakes made by Spell Check!
